In November 2020, Classical Christian Academy’s Board of Directors voted to accept the nomination of new member, Jacob Wurtenberg. Mr. Wurtenberg is the first graduate of CCA to serve in this capacity.
“We’ve known Jacob for many years, and I’m delighted to have him back at CCA,” said Amy Davis, CCA founder and principal. “He embodies everything we hope for our graduates. We want them to love learning, be prepared to pursue the plans God has for them, and leave and serve in their communities.”
Mr. Wurtenberg graduated from CCA in 2016. Just a year later, he graduated with an associate’s degree from Florida Southwestern. He then pursued a bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies at Florida Gulf Coast University, which he earned in 2019.
Mr. Wurtenberg maintained his employment at Chick-Fil-A since high school. He served in all areas of the restaurant and had an opportunity to work at the Corporate office as a Certified Trainer. He is currently the Director of Kitchen Operations and the Restaurant Financial Coordinator at a Pine Island location. He has a goal of owning and operating his own franchise.
“CCA is a really special place. I’m excited to bring my perspective as a former student - and a graduate - to help the school move forward in its plan for growth,” said Mr. Wurtenberg. “I’ve gained a lot of leadership experience in my studies and work, and I hope to give back to the place that prepared me for those opportunities.”
Classical Christian Academy’s board positions are two-year terms with the option to remain with an affirmative vote for up to five years. The Board meets monthly and provides oversight for the school’s operations, planning, and budget.
